Family Dispute Resolution & Mediation
Helping separated families resolve parenting and property matters with clarity, structure and privacy.
Section 60I certificates available where appropriate.
I provide a structured and respectful environment where both parties can be heard and practical outcomes can be reached.
My approach is calm, neutral, and focused on helping you move forward without unnecessary conflict or delay.
Mediation is a facilitative process. I do not provide legal advice or determine outcomes. Parties are encouraged to obtain independent legal advice before and after mediation.
The process is designed to remain focused, efficient, and outcome-oriented at all times.
A Practical, Structured Approach
How the Process Works
A clear and structured process designed to support safe, respectful and effective resolution.
Intake & Assessment
Each party has a confidential, separate intake to assess mediation suitability and key issues. This includes:
discussing concerns, priorities, and desired outcomes
screening for family violence and power imbalances
explaining the mediation process and expectations
This ensures safety, appropriateness, and a tailored approach before any joint session.
Mediation Session
A structured mediation session is conducted to facilitate respectful and productive discussion between the parties.
During mediation:
each party is given the opportunity to be heard
issues are clarified and explored in a neutral environment
options are identified and negotiated
Where appropriate, sessions may be conducted jointly, with shuttle sessions in separate rooms, or with legal representatives present.
Outcome
Where agreement is reached, next steps are clearly outlined to support implementation.
This may include:
documenting the terms of agreement
referral for legal advice or formalisation (e.g. consent orders)
guidance on practical next steps
If agreement is not reached, options moving forward are discussed, and where appropriate, a section 60I certificate may be issued in accordance with legislative requirements.
